About Us

We're a non-profit organization working to find creative solutions to hunger and waste in Baltimore City. We got our start in August 2020, giving away homemade mac & cheese and scratch-made cornbread on the streets of West Baltimore. 

Today we serve 26,000 comforting, delicious, chef-prepared meals annually to people in need. We sell our products - like our special cornbread mixes, t-shirts, and hoodies - in order to be able to serve the community. We especially love feeding Baltimore's kids. 

Because cornbread makes any meal cozy and comforting. Because cornbread is home. Because cornbread is family.  Because cornbread is a little square of love. 

Taking the time to bake up some cornbread makes folks feel special. When we serve hot, buttered cornbread to the community, we are saying, "I see you. You matter."  That's how we show love to our neighbors. And that's why we created our cornbread mixes:  so that you can share that same warm feeling with your friends and family while supporting Love & Cornbread's food equity mission.
